Uniting for Action: New Hampshire Taking Action Across New Hampshire's Urban/Rural Divide
What is this program all about? Uniting for Action: NH is a NON-PARTISAN initiative led by UR Action and New Hampshire Listens to build connections and take joint action to address community challenges across distance and difference in New Hampshire.
Who is this for? New Hampshire residents 18+ from urban, suburban, and rural areas with wide-ranging views who are tired of waiting for elected officials to address their community's needs AND want to take action themselves to improve The Granite State. In other words, it's for you!
How are we doing this? We'll meet once a month online for structured discussion, small group brainstorming, and collaboration focused on TAKING ACTION to strengthen our democracy. When it's possible for all of us to collaborate in person for a major summit, we'll do so. More details below...
Summary of program activities (online + in-person):
1. July 2020: During 90-minute, interactive video workshop, explore different perspectives of community members across New Hampshire on issues that impact our communities. 2. August 2020: Brainstorm community projects in NH during 90-minute online workshop.YOU decide the project you want to work on -- here are examples:
Social media campaigns that promote respect for different political perspectives
Efforts to counter misinformation
Initiatives to address Covid-19-related needs in our communities
3. September 2020: Design community projects to implement in New Hampshire 4. September 2020 - November 2021: Implementcommunity projects through online and in-person efforts
