  • Define and address food rescue
  • Feed and nourish people
  • Reduce usable food waste

What is this project about?

As part of the Uniting for Action America program, the five-person Food Group (Corie - D.C., Greta - NY, Kamy - CA, Shenée - TN, and Stephen - IL) with representation from urban and rural communities has gathered monthly from September 2020 to February 2021 to explore causes and effects of food waste. The group has also achieved a better understanding of possible solutions for reducing food waste and diverting surplus food to people experiencing food insecurity.
