Empowering conservative leaders, especially leaders of faith institutions, with relationships and skills to strengthen the Republic and prevent political violence ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Program Overview

Conservative Leadership for a United America (CLUA) is a non-partisan, conservative-led program that aims to build a robust, cohesive, and effective coalition of conservative leaders, especially leaders of religious communities, united by a love of country, a commitment to problem-solving across differences, and a willingness to take action to strengthen our democratic republic and prevent political violence.

CLUA will be implemented nationally by UR Action with support from the American Values Coalition and The Trinity Forum.

Program Goals

  1. Deepen relationships and a support network across geographies among conservative leaders committed to building bridges across. differences and preventing political violence. 

  2. Strengthen the leadership skills of conservative leaders committed to the above.  

  3. Create initiatives that advance unity, strengthen our democratic republic, and prevent political violence.

Program Schedule

Gatherings will be held on Zoom for the national virtual cohort, alongside leaders from central AZ, eastern NC, south-central PA, and southeast WI.

PHASE I

Build Relationships and Learn Together

Gathering #1:

Build relationships. Learn and apply the ABCs of Constructive Conversation​.

Gathering #2:

Media Manipulation and Polarization: understand how it exacerbates us vs them dynamics.

June - July

PHASE II

Plan for Action

Gathering #3:
Problem Analysis — Leaders form project teams and use the Four-Quadrant Problem-Solving Tool to analyze risks of political violence and solutions.

Gathering #4:

Project Design — Each project team designs its own action plan, building on the analysis from Gathering #3.

Gathering #5:
Project Design and sharing interventions across Hubs.

Take Action

During this phase, leaders

a) meet regularly with their teams to implement their projects, and

b) gather three times as a national cohort to share successes and challenges across project teams.
