Urban Rural Action is a national movement to strengthen relationships between urban and rural communities, and promote constructive dialogue and collective action to address shared social, economic, environmental, and political challenges.
What we do: UR Action brings together organizations across the urban/rural divide to address mass incarceration, gun violence, and climate change in places like Sullivan County, NH & Boston, and Franklin County, PA & Washington, DC. Check out our Programs page.
Why we do it: The urban/rural divide fuels polarization across the U.S. Learn why it's important to bridge that gap on our Approach page.
Who we are: From conflict resolution practitioners to non-profit organization Executive Directors, our multi-disciplinary team resides in metropolitan areas and rural counties. Learn more about us here.
How to get in on the action: We're building a 50-state operation and want you to join our movement. Find out more here.
